How to travel CABO on a budget
People think that it requires way too much money to have a good trip, but with all the traveling I've been doing lately I've discovered that traveling in Mexico can be as cheap and safe as my travels in Europe. If you're an exchange student in Mexico, or you're just looking for cheap ways to travel with friends, heres a few tips that will make your future trip to Cabo possible.
This spring break, a friend and I decided to go to Cabo San Lucas, she lives in the US and told me we should plan the trip together. I immediately went over to vivaaerobus.com and after some research I found a round trip for 2300 pesos (120 usd). My mind was made 😌

Girls...
... We are more than just our looks. What does it matter if you have a pretty face, nice hair and beautiful eyes when your head is full of air. I see girls my age worrying about their next Instagram post, where to buy the perfect dress, and gossiping about the latest relationship scandal. Apparently looks its all people seem to care about, though I might be wrong, when you come to think about it, all you see and hear about is pretty people. Unless its some video of a couple getting it on after the club, or a girl cheating on her fiancé in Cancun. The rest is so superficial it makes me sad to think that our generation is just a bunch of spoiled brats spending our parents money at the club.

Que hacer si no sabes que estudiar? 🤔

How to properly get drunk in Europe...
... a list of TO DOs and TO DON'Ts
My very first weekend in Munich my host dad 👨🏻(which was 35) invited me to the club with his friends. I had plans to go out with my friends from school but he insisted that this club was so much better and that it was a special night and what not. I texted a friend and she joined me once I was there 👯. My host dad introduced me to some of his friends and told them that we met through a mutual friend. I won't get into much detail since he is a lawyer and literally threatened me to sue me so long story short. He gave me a ton of free drinks 🍸🍸🍸🍸🍸from the open bar and I got so wasted I couldn't remember the name of the street I lived in🙈.
Tip #1 - If you plan on getting super drunk to the point of blacking out ✒️write on your arm the return address (home/hotel/hostel) as silly as it may sound its worth it. This would have same me lots of walking and explaining to do, who in their drunk mind can pronounce Hohenzollernstraße?!
This was only my first week in Germany 🇩🇪 and apparently I lost all my ability to properly drink without getting shit faced. But it definitely didn't end here. I had never lived on my own before, and having to manage so much money was difficult at first 💸, I didn't know how to properly spend it and since my friends and I were all students of course we bought the cheapest alcohol we could find😷.

Traveling Europe 101
I never got the opportunity to go on one of those pre planned euro trips and thank god I didn't because know I realize there are way much better options to travel Europe. I took a gap year between high-school and college and moved to Munich, Germany. During my year there I got the opportunity to make all sorts of trips through Europe, I had never been in Europe before and had no idea how to plan a trip, so I definitely struggled at first, but now that I've learned and traveled so much I can share my experience and save you guys some of the struggle I went through. Here are some tips I hope you find helpful!
Are you in Europe already?
If you're not I recommend you booking a flight that will take you to either Amsterdam or Frankfurt airport, theses are the two biggest airports in Europe which means that they carry airlines from all over the world and offer many connecting flights to other cities, offering so many options will guarantee you being able to choose the schedules that fancy and accommodate you the most, saving on fares is always a good thing. Don't forget to book your flight with as much anticipation as possible.

Understanding Munich's Public Transport
One of my main concerns before arriving to Munich was how the hell was I going to move around using the public transport. Being someone that has never taken a public bus before I was frightened at the fact that this was my only option now, nevertheless I did know that in Europe, specially in Germany, the public transport is way much better and safe than in Mexico. Having experienced the worst and the best of what this service has to offer I've collected many tips you should know that will make your experience so much simpler. And for those who have no idea on how to use the public transport heres my guide on how to do so.
So, lets start by saying that in Munich you will find more than just a couple of buses. Munich's public transport is divided into 4 types of transports: S-bahn, U-bahn, Tram and Bus.

So being an exchange student in a foreign country I knew I was bound to find some pretty weird aspects of life here. I mean Europe is nothing like America. The people, the food and the lifestyle are completely different and so far I've found some pretty weird things here...
- Its common for guys to shave both their armpits and eye brows
- 40 and 50 year olds still go clubbing on the weekends
- Drinking beer at any time of day its totally normal
- Some grandmas dye their hair purple
- People are not discrete when it come to blowing their nose
- Bikers rule the streets
- Some people wear their Dirndls and Leather Hosen on a regular basis

Things I wish I knew before I got here
1. I wish I knew how cheap eating in Hauptbahnhof could be
I mean its okay to go eat at a restaurant and treat yourself to a nice meal every once in a while but not every single day and not on Munich's most expensive restaurants. My first week here I went on my 45 minute break to have lunch with my friends in a traditional bavarian restaurant in Marienplatz. It was delicious but 22 euros for a schnitzel is outrageous. Little did I know that I could have easily gotten something pretty similar for less than 3 euros in Hauptbahnhof Central Station. If you're hungry and don't have that much time to eat, don't go to Mc Donalds. REWE To Go in Hauptbahof is the cheapest you can get and since its like a mini market they sell everything. They even have a pretty good salad bar and of course the traditional bavarian foods. You can get a pretty decent meal for 5 euros only. Opens 24/7!

Moving to Munich
So little did I know that I had chosen the most expensive city to live in Germany... This was one of the first things I learned when I moved to Munich. I've never been to Europe before, and for what my friends had told me I came knowing only this: Germans are cold and not very friendly, you will move around using the metro, It's freaking cold all year round and you will drink a lot of beer. Not all of that ended up being true but so far its been 3 months and I've come a long long way since. I've learned so much about the lifestyle here, and even though I still have so much more to learn, I can share some pretty useful tips on how to survive in Munich.
